I respectfully thaull the Commissioners for their favour, and beg to have the honour of being considered for the post of Assistant superintendent of the Victoria Gad. Hong. Kong.

I have 18 years' Government Service' of which I have been under the Prison Commissioners. During that period I have Roved in the Commissioners' Office - Dartmoor, Brixton, Cardiff, and Dorchester Prisons, and have a practical knowledge of the administration.

At Dartmoor I had 5 years Experience and 2 year

of the convict discipline work,

on the industrial live.

During the 5 years

I have been at Brixton I have in succession

had charge of the manufacturing and clerical

discipline departments,

in that Officer's absence.
